Just five minutes’ walk from Vestamager Metro, a wilderness awaits. This is Amager Nature Centre, where children and adults are able to derive inspiration and learn about nature all year round. Equipment is available to hire or borrow for a range of activities, be it studying nature, lighting a fire, baking bread, making popcorn, bird watching or exploring by bike, scooter or even roller-skates if you fancy getting around a bit more quickly. You can eat a rustic lunch in the café or have a picnic outside while you enjoy the big skies and panoramic vistas stretch as far as the eye can see.

Metallica was the first concert ever held at the new Royal Arena when it opened in 2017. The spectacular arena has a capacity of up to 16,000 seated and standing guests for cultural and musical events and covers an area of up to 35,000 m2 in size, with large foyer areas and space for cafés, restaurants and bars that provide ample space for the audience.

Five vertical intersections divides this circular building into sections and acts as passage ways between them, and to the inner courtyard, allowing for both communal and private life.

The source of inspiration for the circular Students' Residence were the traditional Tulou houses in Southeastern China - village communities with individual dwellings and communal facilities.
Five vertical intersections divides this circular building into sections and acts as passage ways between them, and to the inner courtyard, allowing for both communal and private life.
The VM HOUSES are designed by Bjarke Ingels (BIG), Julien de Smedt (JDS Architects) and Plot. The building was completed in 2005 and was one of the first housing estates, which was erected in Ørestad City.
The VM HOUSES were named after the shape of the housing blocks when viewed from the air, namely the letters V and M.
They are characterised by the triangular balconies on the south facade of the V house, while the glass facade gives the building an impression of visual openness.
The houses are located next to the VM MOUNTAIN, also designed by Bjarke Ingels and Plot.
