Strawberry Peak (elev. 6, 135 ft.) gets its name from a strawberry farm owned by Bart Smithson from the 1870s-80s. The 30ft. tower you see today was built in 1934. The original tower - built in 1922 - was 80ft. tall and was constructed using railings donated by the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railway as the corner posts. The structure was damaged by lightning and heavy snow in 1934 and had to be replaced by the tower you see today.

The Ranch is open to the public year round on Saturdays for Wings ‘N’ Things program. From Spring to Fall, the ranch is also open on Fridays for the Bear Watch Program. Reservations are required.
