SUPER good pizza that's right across the street from the apartment. They're artesian pizzas much like you'd find in Italy and the atmosphere is cozy and communal. Great place for a night together.

Great place for coffee and people watching. This is the place where the locals go to get their coffee, sit and chat, or do some work. They have free wifi and it's just down the street from us.

Great sushi place! This is good for a date night or just a casual place to go and have good sushi. To find it, look for a red sign that only says "Sushi" outside the place and that's it.

LA is known for it's mexican food. This is more of a gringo's take on it but they're SO good. The staff is young, hip and friendly. I try to limit myself to having these once a week.

This is AUTHENTIC Mexican food. They serve lots of Baja style food like shrimp/fish tacos but also have other meats as well. Try the "pastor" which is a marinated pork--it's so good.

This is the cheaper, low-key little brother to Gjelina--same chef. It's perfect for lunch. Great, healthy food that tastes wonderful. The brisket sandwich is the best!

If you want to get a more unique view of the Hollywood sign, go up Beachwood Dr. There, you'll find the original Hollywood Land community. Here, I hear you can access a trail up to the sign.
