This is our favourite resort Savoyarde restaurant. It can get quite noisy, especially during the peak weeks, as the ceilings are quite low. You are normally restricted to a 7pm or 9pm sitting and the service is a little manic from time to time, but despite that the food is consistently excellent, the service is always friendly and the restaurant does have plenty of character. The wines are good and reasonably priced.
We would recommend a 'Muscato Myrtilles' as a light aperitif.

La Maison à Colonnes
This is our favourite resort Savoyarde restaurant. It can get quite noisy, especially during the peak weeks, as the ceilings are quite low. You are normally restricted to a 7pm or 9pm sitting and the service is a little manic from time to time, but despite that the food is consistently excellent, the service is always friendly and the restaurant does have plenty of character. The wines are good and reasonably priced.
We would recommend a 'Muscato Myrtilles' as a light aperitif.
Drinks & Nightlife
Sainte Foy is a quiet, family-oriented ski resort. There are a couple of bars in the centre and l'Apres is probably the pick of these. For a quick drink after a day on the slopes the bar in Black Diamond Lodge is open and would normally be a quieter, more relaxing venue than the bars in the resort centre.

Parks & Nature
Le Monal is a listed village. In summer it is an easy walk, right from the front door of the apartment, normally taking between 90 minutes and 2 hours in each direction.
In winter - conditions permitting - you can take a guide and ski from the top of the Aiguille chair through the Clou valley and into the village before rejoining the pistes at the bottom of the resort. This is a lovely day trip when the weather is clear and the snow is fresh.
It is not perfectly suited to adrenaline-seeking snowboarders as there is a longish, flat section from the village back towards the resort and some walking will be required.

Shopping
There are a couple of convenience stores in resort but for a larger shop it will be necessary to take a trip into Bourg-Saint-Maurice. SuperU has a full range of meat, fish, cheese, wine and fresh fruit and vegetables. It is not open on Sundays.
