Food Scene
Castaways is a fun family-friendly place that has something for everyone. You can eat in the breezy outdoor restaurant/bar or order take out. While the menu has other options, we especially love the pizza here. They also have nightly entertainment such as open mic night, bingo, and live bands. Be sure to try your luck with playing the 'Shake of the Day' which is a dice game at the bar and win some cash!

This place is like the island's equivalent to Starbucks and is in Gallows Bay. They have protein shakes, croissants, breakfast/lunch sandwiches, salads and oh yeah coffee drinks ;) And when you are done with your light brunch, stop by the awesome bookstore around the corner called Undercover Books where they have great reading material for the beach, home gifts and novelty items.

A MUST see if you are visiting St Croix USVI! Buck Island was declared as a rare Underwater national monument by the Kennedys in the 1960s and declared 'one of the world's best beaches' by National Geographic. With the beautiful Turtle Beach on one side and an underwater snorkeling trail on the other, Buck Island makes for the best snorkeling/beach trip just 1.5 miles off of St. Croix's shore. Caribbean Sea Adventures and Big Beards are two main companies (and are based in Christiansted) that take groups out there. Pack a lunch, your hat, and sunscreen!
