Have breakfast at a popular local cha chaan teng (translated: tea restaurant) right around the corner called: Kam Fung Cafe. Once you leave the apartment make a left and walk until you see Ginza West and make another left; walk down the steps and to your left is the popular breakfast joint. They are well known for their dense pineapple bun (compared other lighter versions served around the city) and cold HK style milk tea (they chill the tea rather than add ice cube to not dilute the flavor). Locals like to have noodles or macaroni for breakfast; you can give that a try. I prefer set B (noodles + beef satay, pineapple bun and fried egg)

Otherwise head towards Kau Kee (21 Gough Street) for their famous beef brisket noodles. Across Kau Kee is also a well known outdoor eatery, called a Da Pai Dong. There outdoor restaurants were iconic of Hong Kong but now there are few left.

Different parts of the street sell different things (herbs, toys, dried goods, meats, vegetables and noodles). Eventually you will reach the indoor section of Wanchai market. The government created the indoor market to improve on the sanitation of the "wet market." An interesting history is that our development used to be situated on wedding card street apart of the Wanchai market area. Hence, in the Chinese name of our development uses the character of "double happiness" associated with marriag

Its called the mid-level escalator (Jubilee St) that connects Central to the Midlevels, where most expats hang out. I found it quite interesting there is a huge system of escalators outdoors.
