The restaurant of the Golf Club offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and is just 5 minutes drive from the house!
The terrace offers great views on the golf court and the Balaton, has a quiet and relaxing atmoshpere. It offers mainly burgers, plus a weekly changing menu with local specialities.
Prices are reasonable!

The terrace offers great views on the golf court and the Balaton, has a quiet and relaxing atmoshpere. It offers mainly burgers, plus a weekly changing menu with local specialities.
Prices are reasonable!
This family run restaurant, open since 1992, is a typical "csárda" offering traditional Hungarian dishes in a reliable quality. When in Balaton, we often go there to eat something simple and enjoy the wonderful view on the lake. It is just 5 minutes from house!
During peak season, it is advisable to arrive early as it can easily get full specially at early dinner time.

This family run restaurant, open since 1992, is a typical "csárda" offering traditional Hungarian dishes in a reliable quality. When in Balaton, we often go there to eat something simple and enjoy the wonderful view on the lake. It is just 5 minutes from house!
During peak season, it is advisable to arrive early as it can easily get full specially at early dinner time.
This restaurant has one of our favorite terraces (although the inside area of the restaurant is also nice and cosy): south facing, looking over a green field, the lake and the hills. You can take a walk from there and visit the village, and walk up to the look-out tower at the top of the hill or the inner lake in Tihany.
You can have lunch or dinner there (it offers international cuisine and pizza) but it is also good to just pop in for a coffee and some ice cream.

Sightseeing
Visit the beautifully renovated elegant centre of Balatonfüred: take a tour in the small streets between the shore and the main road and admire the early 20th century villas, and take a long walk along the shore where you will find a long promenade, the Balaton acquarium, the Vasary museum with interesting exhibitions and auctions and the dock area with restaurants, bars, coffe places and boutiques.
Beware that it tends to get quite crowded in the evenings during high season...

This nice traditional village is just a few minutes by car from the house. Take a walk in the village, visit the lake and the cheese manufacture (check for opening hours!) and drive to the neighbouring village Pécsely to admire the beautiful landscape!
