Parks & Nature
This ~8 mile, wooded oasis is a wonderful escape and less than 1 mile away! The trail is paved for walking, running, or biking and is lined with trees, natural water features, and full of cute, little creatures. The noise from the busy street & all the cares in the world disappear when on the trail.
*You can rent bikes from the nearby YMCA if you want to ride the trail, but didn't bring yours.

Tallulah Falls is a Victorian-era resort town in Georgia and the gateway to Tallulah Gorge State Park. Trails in the park skirt the rim of Tallulah Gorge or descend to its floor, where the Tallulah River flows. Waterfalls, including the dramatic Hurricane Falls, cascade into the river, which is spanned by a suspension bridge.

It's quite impressive. You could spend hours exploring Avalon & still not see everything!

Apache is a really cool & quaint spot for live, up-and-coming music and spoken word poetry. It's got a great vibe...1 of my favorite little places in the city. You definitely want to make a table reservation online in advance because it's a small venue & there are only a few tables. If you don't get a table, you have to stand the entire night.

This is quite an ambitious project & must be seen & experienced. It's a wonderful outdoor activity to walk/run/ride the trails, but the Beltline is extra special because the trails are lined with funky shops & restaurants, outdoor art installations, play & skate parks, graffiti works, and full of events/activities all the time. They offer guided tours of the Beltline which I highly recommend. You learn a lot about the project & Atlanta. The tours are only held on certain days & fill up FAST. Reserve your spot on the web.
