2nd best pizza in town. Excellent thin crust wood fired Neopolitan style pizza. Small, sometimes hard to get a table. Excellent salads. Really good for takeout.

Ok, this is the place. If you are into pizza and are coming to Seattle, you probably are planning to go here. All of the hype is true- fantastic pizza. Guess what comes with hype and good press- crowds out the door. You will have to get there before they open if you want to get a table in a reasonable amount of time. A hassle, but strongly recommended anyway.

Wow, how lucky are we to have a fantastic Thai restaurant just a 5 minute walk away! This is not your typical thai restaurant- they reluctantly added phad thai and phad see ew (both excellent) to the menu because people kept expecting it. But they serve a lot of authentic dishes that you don't normally see in many thai restaurants. Really tastes like the food you get in Thailand.
Portions are smaller than you get at many Thai restaurants, but the flavors are vivid, bright, and clean. If you are a fan of Thai food, this place is highly recommended.

Ok, well, recommending a coffee place in Seattle is tricky. Truth be told, we rarely go out for coffee- we are huge fans of Caffe Vita Coffee Roasters, and have left some in the cottage for you to try.
But if you are one of those "I need a cup of coffee before I go out for coffee" type of people, enjoy the Caffe Vita, and then head up the street and check out Herkimer. Good, strong coffee. Classic Northwest aesthetic with lots of blonde wood and plenty of places to park your laptop.
Lots of other coffee available just up the hill. Of course, Starbucks if you are so inclined.

Seriously, everything is really good, plus great coffee and baked items. The chocolate chip cookies are life changing. Plus they have an assortment of provisions for home cooking or picnics. And wine!

Green Lake is the best park in the city for a scenic walk, run, bike ride or roller blade and it's just a mile away. The trail around the lake is 2.8 miles. Walk up and over Phinney Ridge or drive down and leave your car in one of the many parking lotsl
