The best restaurant in Germany (Vendome) is just outside Cologne in Bergisch Gladbach - check it out for lunch time if you cannot afford the 20 (!) course dinner. Amazing are both, Le Moissonier is urban, Vendome is a Castle where you look to the city from a hill.

And since it is well designed, you can see all aspects of chocolate: From the green house where you can see cacao plants until the finished product and its cultural dimensions, there is nothing about chocolate that is left out. Also good for kids!

The successor Deutz AG builds engines still today, however the plant here is closed for decades and you can still see the first engine plant building with trees growing in the ruins. Daimler left Cologne to found Daimler Benz in Stuttgart, the plant was closed and instead Henry Ford and Adenauer opened Ford of Europe in the north of Cologne (Niehl).
