Why should I give $5 at the entrance, and where does that money go?
Edison Park Fest is the primary fundraiser for the non-profit Edison Park Chamber of Commerce, its own small entity, not affiliated with larger groups such as the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. Your donation also supports the work of the Edison Park Chamber of Commerce, who work to keep Edison Park a vibrant and sustainable community filled with strong independent businesses.
In addition to helping cover the enormous costs of producing such a large festival, pretty much everything else that you enjoy about Edison Park all year long – the events such as Restaurant Week, Santa Express, Movies in the Park, Irish Sunday Funday, Children's Scavenger Hunt, Monster Mash Family Night, beautification projects, parking lots owned by the Edison Park Chamber of Commerce, the unique, local small businesses – is supported in part or in whole by Edison Park.
We are asking for a $5 suggested donation for entry into the festival (kids under 12 and seniors over 65 are free) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Donors will receive a stamp and will be inundated with THANK YOU'S!!!

The course rating is 35.5 and it has a slope rating of 113 on Blue grass. Designed by Ken Killian, ASGCA/Richard P. Nugent, ASGCA, the Weber Park golf course opened in 1973.

Add to that the narrow fairways and the quick doglegs throughout the course and you're facing a real challenge of skill and an even more daunting challenge of golf course management. Nowhere is that more evident than on 14, a very short par 4.
With OB and tight trees right and strategically placed bunkering, 14 could — and should — be played long-iron wedge! But feed the ego, pull the driver, and let her rip and you're soon hitting three from the tee with a good chance at double.

Planes
The two major airports that service Niles are the O'Hare International Airport which is eight miles from Niles (and offers direct flights to more cities than any other airport in the world), and the Midway International Airport, which is located 18 miles south of Niles.
As another alternative, just nine miles away is the Chicago Executive Airport, which is a regional airport accommodating private and corporate aircraft.
Trains
There are two railroad lines that provide commuter service to Chicago with express trains reaching the loop in less than 25 minutes. They are Metra’s Milwaukee District North Line and the Union Pacific District Northwest Line. One may also reach Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Blue and Yellow Lines (Chicago's "L") via public bus routes and Regional Transportation Authority (RTA).
Automobiles
The Pace Bus System services the local area and further facilitates travel from Niles to Chicago via rapid transit. Pace also provides Niles commuters with daily transportation to other neighboring communities. As an added convenience, village residents enjoy a free intra-community bus system known as the Niles Free Bus.
