Trenary Toast is a local treat which is iconic in the UP. In addition to the Toast they have a nice coffee shop area (cinnamon rolls, yum) with an espresso machine and UP gifts. A little off the beaten path, but a fun little side trip to make.

They have dozens of different types of gourmet hot dogs there and you will definitely find something that makes you happy if you like dogs, and pulled pork, and fried fish...and...yum. They have a new location in Munising- so this map is wrong - it is farther east on Superior street now. Enjoy!

It is beautiful, especially for sunsets. The Au Train river comes out into Lake Superior here and the water is warmer for the lake - so swimming isn't so chilly!

This is a popular river to paddle. There are a number of kayak and canoe rental businesses near by. There is also a wonderful handicap accessible kayak/canoe launch just south of M-28 in Au Train.
