Nice easy trail walk which does a figure eight around two ponds that are stocked with trout in the summer. You can bring a fishing line, or just go for a walk. People bring their dogs to Hinckley Park, a great place for dog lovers! The South Portland community garden is also there! A nice cool place in the summer and pretty foliage in the fall.

Nice cool spot under the bridge in the summer with the breezes coming off the water. You can explore the rocky beach and it's a great spot for a picnic on the grass in the shade. They also have a few tables there with built in chess/checker boards!

The college is right on the ocean with stunning views from the trail that wraps around the campus. You can walk out to the lighthouse or enjoy the view from one of many benches facing the ocean. The campus is on the site of an old fort, so there is that history there and you can walk on a very small beach there, or follow the trail to Willard Beach.

Great and affordable way to get out on the ocean! Take a 20 minute ferry ride to Peaks Island, or stay on the boat for a 3 hour round trip down the bay and back. On Peaks you'll find a grocery store, little coffee place, The Island Inn, great rocky beach on the backside, bikes to rent at Brad's to wheel around the approximate 3 miles of island. If you have to use a restroom, use the one on the boat on the way out, or back. Not sure they have porta potties out there any more
