BIG CANOE Lake Disharoon • Adjacent to the Fitness Center, Lake Disharoon is home to the Swim Club and rockslide. It is the one lake in Big Canoe set aside for swimming with a sand beach and roped off area for tots. The swim club pool is adjacent to the lake. The rockslide is a longtime favorite for swimmers of all ages. Paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards are available here for guests registered at the Swim Club. There is no fishing in Lake Disharoon.

Tallulah Falls is a Victorian-era resort town in Georgia and the gateway to Tallulah Gorge State Park. Trails in the park skirt the rim of Tallulah Gorge or descend to its floor, where the Tallulah River flows. Waterfalls, including the dramatic Hurricane Falls, cascade into the river, which is spanned by a suspension bridge. Jane Hurt Yarn Interpretive Center has exhibits exploring the area’s history and wildlife.

The Georgia Council for the Arts Exhibit that showcases current work of Georgia artists and hangs in the Offices of the Governor. This third iteration of the exhibit is the culmination of a five year program that celebrated original works of art created by Georgia artists. The exhibit seeks to capture the uniqueness of communities throughout Georgia. The selected artwork receives exposure on a state level to the wide variety of visitors who visit the state capitol including legislators, dignitaries, and tourists. "End of Day" was selected to be part of this exhibit.
