From the water taxi dock to Alki Beach proper it's about a 7 to 10 minute flat sidewalk walk. Alki Beach is a huge sandy beach with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. You can rent bikes in the spring and summer, or just enjoy the beach life. It's like Venice Beach, CA minus the palm trees and the body builders. Some evenings you'll catch a local group salsa dancing at sunset on the beach.
