Find Madame Odile in her shop of the same name in the Tignes Val Claret town square (not in Tignes le Lac), for an excellent laundry drop-off service. If you're budget-conscious, a self-service laundrette is in the mini-mall through the door to the right of the Odile shop.

For a world-class, accessible and easy Via Ferrata De la Toviere climb, park in front of the "Pierre et Vacances" shop or outside the apartments and take the path to your right. Make sure you have the right equipment and training and enjoy the views! If you're new to the sport, you can find a guide to take you in the Maison de Tignes tourist office just outside the apartment.

A lovely swimming pool for the family with water slide, a wellness centre and gym too. Swimming is only €5 a day for adults... Save on a weekly pass too!

A great ski school.... particularly for their "Yeti" schemes for kids, that will take children from their first experience on skis right through to advanced shredders. Not cheap, but great value for money.

One of two patisseries near the apartment... but we think La Griottine's croissants are the best! The other patisserie is just past the Sherpa supermarket and has a few tables plus coffee - perfect to make the most of being on your own after your morning run!

Although the idea of eating sushi high in the mountains might strike you as odd, the owner of Satsuki is a French and Japanese couple. Their sushi is always fresh and delicious thanks to Kenji's obsession with his home country's food.

Parks & Nature
There's a brilliant nature trail that starts in Le Lavachet in Spring and Summer. A medium-grade hike, it's well signed and winds down the valley way from Tignes, past signs to teach you about the local flaura and a spectacular waterfall.

Getting Around
Find the nearest free shuttle bus stop near to our apartment by walking up the main shopping street then finding the lift (elevator) down to the lower level of Val Claret. You find the lift (and stairs) down a path just to the right before the Intersport shop next to the recycling bins. The bus runs almost constantly all day between Val Claret and Tignes Le Lac. Another shuttle bus service runs between Tignes Le Lac and Tignes 1800 where you can park your car for free.

If you've got a spare few minutes walk down to the Dam for a fantastic view over the edge!!!
