Food Scene
A local shop for groceries, also doubles as an intimate little cafe, serving good tea, coffee and hot drinks, snacks, homemade cakes and excellent homemade food. I recommend Saturday 'Breakfast Club' with mouth watering and ingenious vegan options. Always friendly, always welcoming, this is my favourite local place to go, a lovely half hour walk from the house.

There has been a weekly market in Machynlleth for 100s of years. These days you can still buy local produce, vegetables and fruit, cheese, bread, meat, clothing and other goods. The whole town comes alive on Wednesday market day. Get there early
