Without a doubt, this is my top food pick. This tiny take-away pizza shop has become a serious foodie destination. It's so good that nobody wants to take the pizza away, preferring instead to hang around and eat in, sitting at the checkered cloth-covered tables that line the footpath. Voted the best pizza in Australia (no exaggeration), Antoinetta & Claudio are the charming owners who have turned this little local eatery into a must-do when you are staying at my place. The pizza makers are fresh off the boat from Italy, there is a selection of Italian wines & sweets, Italian music greets you, and you just won't want to leave. Oh, and did I mention the pizza? Brace yourself - it's Italian style (thin crust, minimal toppings) but OMG... the finest quality porcini mushrooms, salumi, fior de latte, everything fresh and served with a smile. Don't miss it!

Ok, so this sounds a bit tragic, but the local RSL is an awesome live music venue! It is the home of the Way Out West Roots Music Club, and if you want a good ol' dose of Blues on a lazy Sunday afternoon, this is the place to go. This is a cheap 'n' cheerful venue... the food is not exactly haute cuisine and the atmosphere is 70's loungeroom, but you don't have to dress up and it has a wonderful friendly vibe. Keep an eye on the gig guide.
