Traffic in Rio is intense. There are not many Subway Stations in Rio, but if your destination has a Subway Station close by, take it.

Drivers in Rio are not very respectful towards pedestrians and bikers. Use bikes for pleasure, not for transport. Bike lanes on the beach or around the lagoon are a great way to explore the city.
