Food scene

Thursday Karaoke is my favorite day of the week. But on the weekends you'll find your occasional mix of fisherman and bikers from out of town mixing in with the crowd of locals. Great drinks, good food. Excellent time. They make everyone feel welcome.

Absolutely love this place for next to near fine dining in these parts of town. Excellent food selections and always yummy salad bar.

This is a soul food place that is for everyone. It is the best within 20 minute drive. Highly recommend for those persons who like: oxtails, green beans, collard greens, fried pork chops, red beans, cabbage, corn bread. If you can make it for breakfast, I love the salmon croquettes.

They have a fantastic breakfast. Would recommend to any food critic. My favorite is the fish and grits (fried hard) with my eggs over easy. I also ask for my house fries to be cooked with onions. Just a suggestion from a regular.

Sightseeing

Great night views, daytime views. Watch nature at it's finest from inside your car. During season you'll see the Alligators resting on the shore.

My friends took the kids and they had a blast. Get a chance to feed the alligators. Recommendation: check schedule for availability before driving out there.

Lots of fun, music and entertainment. Will be a great weekend to sit back, relax and enjoy the scene. Bring sun screen and a beach chair.

Bar

The locals call it black out Brenda's because the drinks can get really strong. Hole in the wall, jukebox and a single pool table is about all the entertainment you going to get. All the servers are wonderful and the owner Bobby is a standup guy. His adult kids usually hang around on the weekends helping to keep an eye on things. Only downside is they allow smoking. So if you're not a smoker this may not be your joint.
