The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens offers a year round sanctuary in the heart of Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. There are events offered throughout the year to enjoy, including Sakura Matsuri, the annual Cherry Blossom Festival and the Chili Pepper festival , to name a few.
During the colder months it will feel like you have the entire gardens to yourself while during the Spring, Summer and Fall you will be wowed by the incredible blossoms and foliage.

2. A 3.36 mile Running / Biking loop inside the park with plenty of walking trails through the trees and bike rental by Lefrak Center
3. The Prospect Park Zoo is great for families; children can feed the animals and watch the sea lions be fed
4. Prospect Park Bandshell is open during the summer, an outdoor stage featuring Celebrate Brooklyn festival with dance, music and local Brooklyn food vendors
5. Ice skating or rolling skating are offered at Lefrak Center on the Ocean Avenue side of the park. During the summer your family can also cool their feet at the Splash pad
