Pollen Sourdough & Viennoiserie Bakery has the best fresh artisan pastries and sour dough bread in Manchester. Voted cafe of the year 2019, the service is fantastic and food and coffee is amazing. We highly recommend you try it. Please note it can get very busy, especially at weekends but it's worth the wait.

Sightseeing
The marina is great on a sunny day and gives a breath of fresh air from the city centre. It's not far from the house and can be visited on your way to the Northern Quarter and city centre. Frequented by dog walkers and locals, its a great spot to relax, read or eat a pastry from Pollen.

If you're looking to see a bit of history, Royal Mills is a stunning, listed building previously used as a cotton mill. It's been wonderfully refurbished into offices and apartments but you can head into the foyer and look around, why not grab a coffee from Ancoats coffee while you're there?

The Marble Arch is a great pub on Rochdale road, 10-15 minutes from our house. Its a real historic pub and the beer is great, really stunning interior and great food served daily. In the winter you can sit by the fire, super cozy.

A beautiful and historic building. This is well worth a visit for good beer and ale. If you're lucky, look up and you may get a crumble of ceiling in your pint. Sadly the cost to renovate the old, stunning ceiling is too much so a net sits above your heads to catch crumbling pieces as it slowly degrades.
Really worth checkin out.

Rudy's Neapolitan pizza has been recognised worldwide. It's simply the best pizza in Manchester and arguable the UK, if not further afield.
We go here far too much! Warning, it gets super busy, especially at weekends. People sometimes wait up to 2 hours for a seat, but you can put your name down and grab a drink at a nearby bar while you wait.
We recommend the Romagnola or Calabrese (spicy). Veggie and Vegan options available too.
