The Gardens by the Bay is a nature park spanning 101 hectares (250 acres) in the Central Region of Singapore, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir. The Merlion (Malay: Singa-Laut, Chinese: 鱼尾狮, Tamil: மெர்லயன்) is the official mascot of Singapore, depicted as a mythical creature with a lion's head and the body of a fish. Being of prominent symbolic nature to Singapore and Singaporeans in general, it is widely used to represent both the city state and its people in sports teams, advertising, branding, tourism and as a national personification.[1] The Merlion was first used in Singapore as the logo for the tourism board.

The Singapore Botanic Gardens is a 161-year-old tropical garden located at the fringe of Singapore's Orchard Road shopping district. It is one of three gardens, and the only tropical garden, to be honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Botanic Gardens has been ranked Asia's top park attraction since 2013, by TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Awards. It was declared the inaugural Garden of the Year, International Garden Tourism Awards in 2012, and received Michelin's three-star rating in 2008.[1][2] The Botanic Gardens was founded at its present site in 1859 by an agri-horticultural society. It played a pivotal role in the region's rubber trade boom in the early twentieth century, when its first scientific director Henry Nicholas Ridley, headed research into the plant's cultivation. By perfecting the technique of rubber extraction, still in use today, and promoting its economic value to planters in the region, rubber output expanded rapidly. At its height in the 1920s, the Malayan peninsula cornered half of the global latex production. The National Orchid Garden, within the main gardens, is at the forefront of orchid studies and a pioneer in the cultivation of hybrids, complementing the nation's status as a major exporter of cut orchids. Aided by the equatorial climate, it houses the largest orchid collection of 1,200 species and 2,000 hybrids. Early in the nation's independence, Singapore Botanic Gardens' expertise helped to transform the island into a tropical Garden City, an image and moniker for which the nation is widely known. In 1981, the hybrid climbing orchid, Vanda Miss Joaquim, was chosen as the nation's national flower. Singapore's "orchid diplomacy" honours visiting head of states, dignitaries and celebrities, by naming its finest hybrids after them; these are displayed at its popular VIP Orchid Gardens.

In a country most commonly associated with gleaming modernity, a vacation on Pulau Ubin provides a rare glimpse into Singapore's simpler, rustic past. The banana-shaped island holds overgrown jungle, gnarled mangrove swamps, and the last of Singapore's kampungs (traditional villages). Mountain biking and hiking trails crisscross the rugged terrain, leading to hidden abandoned quarries, viewpoint towers piercing the canopy, and haunting shrines. Diverse wildlife fills the forest and wetlands. Food on the island shows a strong traditional leaning, with shellfish from the surrounding waters featuring prominently. Pulau Ubin is in Singapore. Having some snow adventure is something that you could definitely look firward to to beat the Singapore heat. Snow City, Singapore is yet another popular family attration where you can enjoy a variety of snow activities such as skiing, building a snow man, making snow angles or burying yourself in the snow. As the temperature at this indoor snow center is usually sub-zero, make sure you carry enough clothes to keep yourself and your family warm.

Wave pool is amazing and I'm crazily in love with the lazy river! You could rent the floats (tubes) however, you can only rent it with the app (ActiveSG) - no cash payment for it. Also to mention, the Slides and Jacuzzi are closed for repair (so as they say...) but no clue when they will ever be ready. As it does not look like there are any works ongoing. Nonetheless, it is a great place to chill and have fun with your families and friends The nearest MRT station is about 5 to 10 minutes by walking, the Chinese Garden MRT East-West Line. At the entrance, the staff were very helpful, especially on guiding on the payment as they do not accept cash anymore. EZ Link cards are also accepted as payment. It's very affordable at around $2 for adults, while kids and students pay lower.

Coincidentally, this bar happened to have clinched the top prize in Asia’s 50 Best Bar preciously and has been consistently ranked among the tops the years later. Going into 28HKS is like being transported into a realm of exclusiveness with the dimly lighted surrounding and current tracks playing on the airwaves. • Internationally celebrated Singapore speakeasy bar introduces new cocktail menu and refurbished interior. June 10th, 2015 . Modeled on the influential New York speakeasy bars that in the early 2000’s led the modern revival of cocktail culture, standout Singapore cocktail bar . 28HKS

Where Ann Siang Hill meets Club Street, a small crowd gathers near cryptic symbols in an unmarked alley. Here, hollowed out in a basement space across Oxwell & Co, Operation Dagger lies 30th in line at the World’s 50 Best Bars 2019, having also clinched Most Creative Cocktail Bar previously at The Bar Awards Singapore.

Within a year of its inception, Gibson already became a respected name in the scene, and received a ranking on one of the most recognised bar awards, Asia's 50 Best Bars in 2016. Gibson has further proven itself to be a cocktail bar that's making waves in the Singapore bar scene, earning a spot on the list for 4 years in a row.

D.Bespoke - essentially a gentlemen's club played through Japanese lenses, with sexy saxophone in the background and so much wood this place has post-drinks clothing removal properties in-built. Taking the dignified rituals and stylings of the Ginza cocktail bar to the streets of Chinatown, the mood at Daiki Kanetaka’s D.Bespoke is all dapper and masculine from the tailored suits to the leather couches, down to the dark wood finishes.
