Our favourite Beach
Fisherman's Beach is directly across the road and always a delight - from a mill-pond to a surf-beach and anywhere in-between.
'The pier that made Mornington' says the sign at Schnapper Point. Built in the 1880s the pier enabled paddle steamers to bring scores of visitors to Mornington for a picnic in the park or fine dining at the Grand or Royal Hotels. Exploring the many historic landmarks brings a sense of history to the present day.

In it's 13th year this charming cafe right opposite Fisherman's beach is only 12 houses away from our Beachfront Haven.
Lilo is a bright, converted corner shop with a 'green theme' - from green thermos's right out of the 50s, to succulents adorning the windows in of course green pots and cups. Lilo has been voted as one of Mornington's favourite. When in season, homegrown veggies supply the menu and cold-pressed juices are made in house. There are plenty of vegan options, from almond chai pudding to falafel salad.

Our favourite cinema is being relocated. Check internet for reopening date
Time to catch up on the latest film. The Main St cinema is being relocated around the corner on the Esplanade (near Counting House) in 2022 and we’re keenly awaiting it’s opening with a full dining, cinema experience. A perfect way to unwind.

Fisherman’s Beach is a mesmerising delight all year round from it’s occasional crashing waves to mill pond perfection.
Great Beach for families and water depth suitable for all ages. South is Linley Point and ‘our’ boat ramp which is ideal to launch an array of watercraft or just sit and watch the endless boat ramp action and nocturnal stingrays.
