A sight not to be missed. You can make the hike from Spa Park to the falls if you feel like a bit of exercise. The return trip is approximately 6 kms. You walk along side the Waikato river until you reach the ravine which creates Huka Falls.
A phenomenon of natural hydro power with more that 220,000 litres of water per second comes barreling over the 11 meter high waterfall.
There are many options to view the amazing power of the falls. You can drive, walk or make it an adventure and take a jet boat ride or river cruise.
The Huka Falls car park is about 1.6 kilometers north of Taupo. A bus from Taupo passes several times a day on a circuit of local attractions.
