This is a great trendy coffee shop. There's a lot of natural light and they have huge windows so it feels nice and airy inside. It's also the closest physically which is nice if you don't want to walk far.

Barton Springs is a natural river fed pool that is 75 degrees year round. I swear it's a fountain of youth and my skin glows every time I swim there. It's also top clothing optional on one side and hippie friendly.

Congress Avenue has the best view of the capital and city. There's also trendy shops and restaurants. The bats come out from under Congress Ave. bridge at dusk and people line up on the bridge to watch the bats every night. So that's fun!

You are so lucky you are in town for Southby Southwest! There are tons of venues around town with live music all day to showcase new and upcoming artists. Most of these venues are free and offer free drinks and food. One year I saw Skrillex at Southby! Before he was big. So keep an eye out for southby stuff and the east side is a great spot to be since most bars are walkable from my apartment.
