One of the most interesting pubs you are likely to visit. Within walking distance from Bumble Cottage so leave the car alone and take a few minutes stroll. It has a lovely garden and a nice conservatory. The pub is also dog friendly
Built in 1690 it is said, the owner celebrated his good luck at a card game when, after winning a large sum of money, he built a house to represent a house of cards[2] on a plot of land measuring 52 × 53 feet, representing the cards in a pack plus the joker. It has four floors representing the four suits, with 13 doors and fireplaces on each floor equaling the number of cards in each suit, and fifty-two stairs. Before the imposition of the window tax, the panes in all the windows added up to the total value of a pack of cards.[3] Told you it would be interesting - Only in Combe Martin !

Combe Martin bay offers one of the most scenic and dramatic coastlines in the UK and is sheltered throughout the prevailing weather. Bordering Exmoor National Park it has around 3km of coastline to explore safely. This Area of Outstanding Beauty (AONB) is full of inlets, caves and secluded beaches to explore and can no better be done than on your own kayak or stand-up paddleboard. Wildlife such as dolphins, porpoise, seals, oyster catchers, gannets, fulmars and peregrine falcons are often spotted throughout the year, making your paddling experience truly magical.
You can hire a kayak, take a tour or have some lessons. The shop is close by to the beach.

Situated just of the A399 not far from Blackmoor Gate this a beautiful place to visit at any time of the year as it is so peaceful .Sitting on the edge of Exmoor there are two walks an outer walk where dogs are allowed off the lead and an inner walk where dogs have to be kept on the lead due to the wild life.The inner walk is approx 2m walk, quite flat with a few inclines,also situated on this walk is a picnic area and a bird hide
