At Perlan , a 20 minute walk, there is a beautiful view of the city,and in clear weather you can see Snæfellsjökull in the distance. There is a café and a restaurant at Perlan and there are exhibitions about glaciers and an amasing icecave/tunnel. It is located on a hill with beautiful walk paths in a wooded area,called Öskjuhlíð.

Elliðaárdalur is a beautiful park with Reykjavíks only salmon fishing river. Beautiful surroundings for a walk,run or bicycle tour. Or just find a bench,close your eyes and listen to the sound of the river gushing through the city.

Geothermal baths.
Nauthólsvík is one of our favourite places in Reykjavík. A man made white beach partly warmed up with excess water from the cities heating system. You can bathe in the sea and relax in a steam bath and/or hot tubs afterwards.

Reykjaviks oldest geothermal swimming pool,indoors and outdoors pools,steambath,hit tubs and even a cold tub ! Taking a walk to the swimming pool is a nice local pastime,40minutes by foot from our place. You can also take the bus,takes about 15 minutes.

Harpa is Reykjaviks largest concert hall,home of the Icelandic symphony orchestre. Also hosts all kinds of concerts and shows. Beautiful building and a great landmark in the city. There are multiple bus lines in about 3 minutes walking distance from our house. You buy tickets through an app called Klapp.
