People who love food are the best people

These are a few of my local food recommendations, off the beaten track.
I love this little neighbourhood restaurant because it has awesome foods and drinks and it's just up Doudeauville street. The owner makes great coctails and the chef in cuisines is a an absolute gem! She concocts French classics with a classy modern touch. Prices are reasonable and music is great too! Reservation recommended. In just 15 minutes walk you'll find yourselves in the middle of the Sri Lankan neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants to chose from. Dishny is a good option, and there are certainly many others.

The Institute of Islamic Cultures (ICI) is a cultural establishment of the City of Paris and dedicated to the creation and dissemination of contemporary cultures in connection with the Muslim world . It is both a center for contemporary art, a music scene, a place for dialogue and learning. It doubles with an excellent café which serves an outstanding couscous at a very affordable price. My favorite coffee place

Time Out says A great book shop-cum-café bang in the middle of the 18th arrondissement’s Goutte d’Or area. With a special focus on illustrated books – from comic books to graphic novels and children’s literature – La Regulière on the 18th arrondissement’s lively rue Myrha houses a plethora of treasures, mostly published independently. Their comprehensive, colourful selection includes French cartoonist Riad Sattouf, visual artist Catherine Meurisse and Liv Strömquists’s excellent comic – ‘L’Origine du monde’. Plus, prices are wallet-friendly, with cartoons from €3 and kids books from €4. Regulière also doubles up as a pretty cafe where you can munch biscuits, attend workshops, and admire the latest exhibitions – and the furniture’s even built by the owners themselves. All in all, a welcoming, user-friendly place open to anyone and everyone.

Maison Château Rouge is a pop and lifestyle brand that celebrates the district of the same name, in the 18th arrondissement from Paris. Inspired by an African heritage, the brand symbolizes the meeting between several cultures. Through its creations, the brand diverts African culture in a contemporary spirit. The collections are designed and developed in the Château Rouge district of Paris. Production is carried out between Paris, Europe and Africa. Maison Château Rouge is an independent project led by the brothers Fofana, Youssouf and Mamadou, bringing together a team united by common values around economic social responsibility. Thus, the brand is part of a larger social project called "Les Oiseaux Migrateurs" which aims to participate collaboratively in the development of small businesses in Africa.

Situated near the Close de Montmartre (Montmartre Vineyard), it’s a pretty secluded square on the fringes of the district. Place Dalida was actually named after a real life Dalida; famous singer and actress who performed in up to ten different languages. She gained international viral fame at the tender age of 19 following her smash hit
