My go-to pizzeria in the area is umbertos. But if you venture out into the city, right across from Penn Station on 32nd street (NOT 33rd st) and 7th Ave is an AMAZING $3 slice pizzeria. It’s not correctly listed on yelp but you can’t miss it when you get to 33rd st. “little Italy pizzeria”. Or Joe’s pizzeria would be my recommendation if you’re heading to a broadway show further uptown.

Easy hike, about 3 miles loop. Free parking by the museum. You can walk through the memorial garden before or after the hike. The beach is about 5-10 min walk before you go into the loop. There are some abandoned buildings slightly off trail, see if you can spot the graffiti glasshouse!

LIRR to NYC
There is day parking available at New Hyde Park LIRR station. (Stewart Manor Lirr station does not offer day parking). However if you are going to JFK, both stations can take you to Jamaica. Download the LIRR On Time app for schedules! :)
