Broadway Cinematheque is cinema showing both art house and commercial movies with a nice, quiet cafe and bookstore name Kubrick attached to it. It's a super nice place to go to get a coffee and plan your day (lthough there is no wifi at the cafe and it opens from 11:30am daily).

Mido Cafe is one of the oldest local styled "tea restaurant" in Hong Kong. It has pretty much kept it's look since the 50's. It's has a special atmosphere overlooking the Temple Street Park. Milk tea, Yin Yang (coffee and milk tea), salty lime + 7-Up, French toast, red bean drink are among the local flavor that you can try.

Chung King mansion is notorious, especially for it's diversity and it's cluster of cheap accommodation, cheap goods and restaurants. The movie Chung King Express by Wong Kar Wai was filmed there. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chungking_Mansions

This is my favorite dim sum place, although you need to be familiar with the rules in order to find the best dishes. First, go to the second floor (NOT the 3rd), this is where the dinsum comes out fresh and pushed around on . This is a traditional style of serving, where you can see the food and pick the ones that looks good to you. You might want to walk around to check out the carts. If you like deep fried stuff be sure to check out the cabinet right outside of the kitchen.

This Napalese restaurant right across the street is one of my favorite spot. Food is amazing! It's worth trying if you feel like a change from Chinese food.
