Best restaurant in Fresno. They have wood fire pizza; homemade pasta, and great wine. They also have a bone marrow appetizer that I think is excellent. This is a great date night place and/or good venue for families. However, I recommend making reservations. They are always busy. If you don’t have reservations, you can usually snag bar seats if you go early or later in the night.

This is my favorite Mexican Restaurant in town. It is reasonably priced for Mexican food, a fun bar environment, and if you love spicy and beer, I recommend ordering the Spicy Corona. It is a Corona bottle with hot sauce, salt rim and a shrimp. My fave!

Best sports bar in town. They have really cheap Happy Hour specials and I recommend getting a Hot Dog. The parking is awful so I would try to take as few cars as possible — especially during game days. Also, there is always a line out the door but that’s for take out or self seating. I recommend cutting the whole line, walking in the left door and trying to snag a table at the bar. That way, you have great seats for the game and good bar food. You also get to avoid the long line.

Sightseeing
This can be a great day trip or a camping excursion. Yosemite is known for beautiful waterfalls, granite cliffs, and hikes. Yosemite is about 60 miles away from Fresno and an 80 minute drive. There are a lot of easy waterfalls to see without strenuous walks—you can literally drive to many of the tourist attractions, bring a picnic lunch, walk a short hike and then return home.
If you are going to do serious hiking and go to Half Dome, please check the website to secure passes to climb the final portion to the top. If you are unable to secure passes, you can still walk most of the trail (just not the very top). There is 1200 square miles to explore so regardless – you can’t go wrong!
