Great beer and food selection with a lot of History. 1 mile from house and parking on side streets. f the weather is nice I walk from our home to Forsyth Park, then down Bull Street towards Jones Street. Then left on Jones Street until I get there. Very pretty walk once you get to Forsyth Park. Their bar stools are first come first serve. Restaurant can sometimes be very busy depending on day and time, but usually not more than a 20 minute wait.

While they dont serve food, Betty Bombers is in the same building and you can order your food and they will bring it to you at the bar. NOTE: Had the worst meal of my life there 4/2/2024 not sure if it was just the night, or if the place has gone down hill. Will need to eat there a few more times to be certain.

My routine consists of driving over there, picking up a small plain low country boil (easily can feed two people) and is only $9.95 and driving to Forsyth Park for a picnic. As of June 2023 they went up in price a little like everywhere. I had my first overcooked Low Country Boil and did not taste like what I am used to. My favorite place for Chinese takeout. Mongolian beef and hot and sour soup are my gotos! As of June 17th 2023, Two of my friends said they ordered chicken meals and were terrible. I always order their soup these days, so I had their Wonton Soup, Hot and Sour and Egg Drop recently and they were all as good as I'm used to. I think my friends just had a bad cook that night, but let me know if you go and don't have a good meal as I may need to take this out of my recommendations

Right near City Market this B&D Burgers doesnt always have the most amazing food in town but depending on the cook its usually always good. It is the BEST place to watch a major sporting event at night though as they put it on an entire outdoor wall using a projection screen. The Alligator fritters and Buffalo Nachos are always a good choice!

Like going back in time driving down this road and the history video in the small museum and self guided tour all make this worth a morning or afternoon away from the main part of town. Even if you only have an hour, its worth just driving through real fast.

Driftwood Beach is on Jekyll Island about 1.5 hour drive from our home. My favorite time to go is low tide at Sunrise. It costs $8 to enter the island but you can make a beach day out of it and it is less crowded then Tybee Island and a must see if you love nature and Driftwood.

Everything about this new addition to our town cannot be expressed in words. There are several outdoor and indoor dining options. Inside the main hotel is a beautiful museum, free and open to the public. It includes artwork from all over the world.
