Food scene - Downtown Harrisonburg

These are our favorite picks in the Downtown Harrisonburg area - about 25 minutes from Massanutten.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Harrisonburg. It has a wide variety of food and drink options, and has a price point that varies from pretty cheap to fine dining. It's also a cool vibe and has live music a few nights a week. Tuesday nights have trivia. It's family-friendly, but more so for kids 10+. http://clementinecafe.com/

Bella Luna is another one of our favorites. They are known for their wood-fired pizza and have amazing cocktails. The atmosphere is also open and welcoming. This is a great place for a date night, but is also inviting for families. http://www.bellalunawoodfired.com/

We love this place. Hands down our favorite ethnic food in downtown Harrisonburg. It's Indonesian food always hits the spot, and their homemade pandan ice cream is delicious - so be sure to save a bit of room. Great for date-night; reservations recommended since it's a small restaurant. www.bobokoindonesiancafe.com

This is the best food place for families. The menu has a good variety of options from pizza to burgers to BBQ to salads to kids menu items - and the food is great. BUT even better than the food is the variety of games. They have duck pin bowling, ping-pong, air hockey, shuffle board, darts, board games, arcade games, and much more. Most games are free, but some have a fee (duck pin bowling is $20, for example). https://www.rubysarcade.com/

If you're looking for a good burger, Jack Brown's is the place to go. THE BURGERS ARE DELICIOUS. Local beef, local ingredients. Some burgers are traditional while others are unique combinations. It also has 100+ beers on offer. This bar-style restaurant opened in Harrisonburg about 10 years ago, and now has expanded into the bigger cities across the south including Richmond, Nashville, Birmingham, Greenville, and others. So be sure to stop by the one in Harrisonburg - this is the original. This is family friendly during lunch hours, but at night it's more of a bar. There's also a location at the base of Massanutten which seems to be pretty family friendly all day. https://www.jackbrownsjoint.com/

Billy Jack's is our favorite place to go when we're looking for some quick, but delicious, bar food. The cousin of Jack Brown, this restaurant is also the first of several locations across the Southeast, making Harrisonburg the original. We love the sticky nugs with the original sauce, and one of the local ciders on tap. This is family friendly during the day, but is more of a bar scene at night. https://www.billyjacksshack.com/
