The food scene in the Wimberley area has experienced a renaissance recently. We're excited to share our favorite spots with you!
The Leaning Pear has been a Wimberley staple for many years. They moved into their new modern location a while back and the ambiance can't be beat. The owners, Rachel and Matthew, are lovely people who give so much back to our community. The food here is delicious and we love sitting out on the spacious patio or the cozy tree house room. They are dog and kid friendly. Our little ones spend lots of time rolling coins down the coin funnel which keeps them happy and benefits a new local organization each month. Many of the ingredients used here are sourced from local farms and ranches. Make sure you grab a meal here while you're in town!

They are popular, so expect a 30 or so minute wait on a regular dining day or call 24 hours in advance for a reservation.

Hildees is our newest restaurant and we love it! It's a casual dining spot with great food located adjacent to the hike and bike trail at the intersection of FM 3237 and Winters Mill Pkwy. They have a shady playground for the kids and lots of covered open air dining space. The parking lot is small; reservations recommended.

Drinks & Nightlife
Wimberley isn't too much of a late night town, but there are some great spots to enjoy a drink with friends! There's definitely an overlap here with the restaurant list, particularly Community Pizza, Hays City Store and Ino'z with their extensive bars.
This winery is just a little off the beaten path which makes is a peaceful and lovely spot to relax. The building and grounds are beautiful and they even have a double decker bus and donkeys! Their house-made wines tend toward the sweet side, but they offer a good selection of other wines as well. They're adding on and we can't wait to see what they have in store for the addition!

We love visiting the llamas and grabbing a bite from a visiting food truck on the weekends, especially when it's Pho-Lisha's! The bar is a cute, contemporary open air bar and the grounds are dotted with stylish seating and hammocks.

Old Baldy is one of the highest hills in the Wimberley valley. Take the steep trail of 218 steps to the top and get a spectacular view of the surrounding area. Recently the city and residents came together to buy the hill and make it a public park. Free.

Blue Hole is amazing! The spring-fed waters of Cypress Creek can't be beat. Swimming runs Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, plus weekends in May and September.
