Tanner Park is not an official dog park, but leashed dogs are allowed on the park's many trails. The park goes down in a gully and at the bottom there is a bridge where many folks let their dogs off leash to play in the creek. The current is strong, so please use caution. This is not a typical fenced dog park, but more like hiking in the wilderness. There are no bathrooms or watering areas. There are a number of bag and waste stations. Please be aware that the hike back up and out is quite steep and the road is dirt and rock.

1371 S 700 EThis is a traditional fence dog park we recommend due to the area. It is right across the street from Liberty Park, which is a great area to walk dogs. Within walking distance from this park are also local cafes, including the neighborhood around 900 east and 900 south with Coffee Garden.
This is not technically a "dog park", but is a great place to visit with or without dogs (on leash). Open to the public, Wheeler Farm is one of the few remaining late 19th century farmsteads in the Salt Lake Valley. Leashed dogs are welcome and this is very popular with joggers. There are also many seasonal events here including the Sunday Farmer's Market (June - Oct), Pumpkin Days (Sept - Oct), etc.

Search for the "Hunters Woods Trail Entrance", which is the closest trail entrance.
