Maplewood - Once a quiet suburb, now it's a hot spot for new homeowners who can walk to restaurants, shops, and bars. Delmar Loop - Walk from my house for music, food, drinks, and quirky shopping. Washington Ave. - City Museum, restaurants, and bars. Close to the Convention Center. Lacledes Landing - The oldest area in town. Cobblestone streets. Spaghetti Factory (reservations if they take them)

Most of these are free or reasonably priced. I'm very proud of St. Louis. The Zoo with Carousel and Children's zoo, the Science Center, The History Museum (1 mile from my home), The Magic House ($$), City Museum ($$), The Arch and Museum, Botanical Gardens, Butterfly House and Carousel ($ and a good drive from my house), Ferris Wheel at Union Train Station ($$), Museum of Transportation ($$)
