Onrus Restaurants
Although there are not a huge amount of restaurants in Onrus, there are some good quality ones that cover most food preferences and cater to both kids and adults.
However, if you are feeling lazy, Munchi Hermanus deliver to you, as does Romans Pizza
The Milkwood is at Onrus Beach and the views and sunsets are beautiful which is a good thing as the service can be slow...It is a bit on the pricey side but the food is generally good. The fish and chips and the cocktails are excellent.
Milkwood is the best place for people with dogs. Very dog friendly

Gordon is an excellent chef. The fish, steaks and pizzas are great. There is a little bar area serving a range of everything and good local wines. I especially recommend for Sunday roast but it is very busy in season so best to book

Tipples has great all round good food, drinks and service. Happy hour is on Wednesdays and Fridays and there is live music on Friday evenings. If you are a sports fan then they have a TVs inside and outside featuring sports events.
There is smoking allowed outside in the tented beer garden.

The greatest take away fish and chips
Whilst not strictly in Onrus, for sushi lovers, this one is the closest to us. I wouldn't sit and eat there as it is primarily set up as a takeaway shop and you can call your order in advance and simply collect
It's always pretty good sushi!

Probably the least know wine farm in the area, but probably my favourite. Wine tasting and restaurant are in an old restored church and it sits on a lake with views stretching through the valley right to the ocean.
They also offer picnic baskets so you can sit on the lawn under the treas.

• Overberg Interiors: décor, jewellery and gifting
• The Pharmacy (with a sister on duty if you are taken ill). Open daily and between 10am and 12pm on a Sunday
• A doctor – by appointment only
• The Vet
• Tipples Bar & Restaurant (excellent pizzas; live music Friday nights; happy hour Weds & Fri)
The laundromat is further down the Onrus Main Road towards Hermanus as is the Total Garage
