This place is new to the restaurant scene and offers something completely different from another region of Mexico. The staff is excellent and knowledgeable, the food is great authentic Mexican dishes, spices can vary and be catered to your particular heat tolerance. It's not expensive and the drinks are amazing. TRY IT!!!!

I had dinner here over the US thanksgiving long weekend. I enjoyed the 3 course turkey dinner they offered as a special all weekend. No doubt I'll return to try some of their other fare on the menu because the turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, sauteed vegetable and cranberry sauce was truly amazingly . A definite must try on the list

I have had many great meals here, but most recently enjoyed a a breakfast that was one of the best I've ever had. At the waiters suggestion I tried the Huevos Motelenos, a mexican traditional breakfast that is lightly spiced, served with a freshly baked demi baguette and fresh preserves. I added a melon juice(freshly juiced per cup) as well as a coffee(also made fresh per cup. This stellar breakfast was only 253 p, a great deal.

Great Thai food but be aware that the spice chart is off the charts so to speak. I dined there recently and had a Thai standard, Phad Thai and asked for it mild( the equivalent of one Flame on the spice level chart). It definitely wasn't mild, so in future I will ask for all of my dishes to be cooked without spice, which is an option. You know when your lips are tingling and your forehead is beaded with sweat after just the first bite that what you're eating is nothing you would consider mild.

Handy Notes For Everyone, From Everyone
The condo is located directly above the Hotel Tropicana and you can access the beach two ways. One is to walk up to the next Casa on the highway and take the stairs which end at Emiliano Zapato. Then one block to the beach at the Sapphire Club. Alternatively, you can turn left as you exit the property and walk down the sidewalk to the next street
(calle Pulpito) and you're less then two blocks from the beach.
Internet> The internet in Mexico has presented challenges for travellers in the past but it has improved 200% since I've been at Casa Azul. We have a great carrier called Izzie and our internet speed is the best in the city. With a couple of test done recently(See photos)
