Guatemala's Pacaya Volcano Hike
If hiking an active volcano is on your bucket list, this is a great opportunity to do it! The level of difficulty is medium, so bring the right attitude, gear, water and snacks.
If you are lucky, you might see red lava, but at the moment that is probably not going to happen. Anyways, the hot volcanic rock, nature and views are really worth it.
Tips:
There is a 200 Quetzal ($27 USD) expense to enter the national park and hire a mandatory guide. Plus, bring some extra money if you plan on renting a horse and tips.
Bring quetzales since exchange rates for $USD are very poor.

Hidden in the lush mountainous jungle just 11kms of the nearby town, Lanquin, Semuc Champey, is a 300 m long natural forming limestone bridge that has six turquoise blue water pools. People visit Semuc not only to enjoy swimming in the pools but also to explore the nearby water cave, or tube down the Cahabon River.
Coban, is around 5 hours from Guatemala City and Lanquin is 2-3 from Coban.

Walking along Antigua’s cobbled streets is like stepping back into the days of Spanish colonialism. This is a town made for walking. You can have breakfast, lunch of coffee in this magical place.
In Antigua, you can also visit one of the local coffee plantations, where the farmers will proudly show you their crop and the coffee making process. Thanks to its volcanic landscape, Antigua has the ideal climate for growing coffee, and the beans produced here are among the best in Latin America.
Antigua is just 25KM from Guatemala City.

Tikal is the ruin of an ancient city, found in a rainforest in Guatemala. It is one of the largest archaeological sites and urban centers of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization. Situated in the department of Petén, the site is part of Guatemala's Tikal National Park and in 1979 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It is only 308kms away from Guatemala City, but it is better to take a flight to get there.

Zona 1 is the historical center of Guatemala City. It is a beautiful area to explore on foot. Start on Parque Central, the city’s main square where the Palacio Nacional De La Cultura and the Catedral Metropolitana are located. Stroll your way down on La Sexta (Avenida 6a), a commercial pedestrian street connected to Parque Central. In this area you will find many more ancient buildings, plazas, street markets and churches. Make sure to have a look at the historcal post office’s building; Edificio de Correos.
Tip: Try to bring only what you will need. Don't bring jewelry, passport or important personal belongings.
