You can eat bar food outside by the river with lovely views of the old wooden toll bridge and surrounding mountains. It is on the Mawddach Trail, a bicycle/walking path following the old railway line along the south side of the Mawddach Esturay.

Wonderful atmosphere with spacious sitting areas, either around tables or on sofas - upstairs there are more sofas. Carpeting throughout means that acoustics are good (not like most bare-floored cafees which are so echoey). Nice place to come and use the free wifi and have coffee and cakes or come for lunch and read the newspapers they provide. It is in a historic buiding which used to be an amazing old fashioned ironmongers shop, and many of the old features have been retained. Ask the friendly staff about their selection of rare teas.

A beautiful mountain overlooking Dolgellau. There are two routes - either from the car park near the start of the Pony Path on the Dolgellau side of the mountain, or drive over the pass and start from the Tal y Llyn side at Minffordd for a more challenging walk up to the summit.
