Indoor/Outdoor Activity
This is a pleasant, 10 minute walk from the property and will typically take about an hour or so of your time. Kids always really enjoy it, as you get a chance to hold butterflies and watch them hatch from cocoons.

The tour operator is located in town, and they offer a group bike tour that goes around the outskirts of Mindo, during nighttime hours. You stop to learn about the various flora and fauna and see night creatures while riding on a bike!

This is a rustic type of gondola, open to air, that traverses one side of the mountain to another. It is located past the zip lines. It leads you to a lot of trails through the forest and many natural pools. It is nice for all ages.

This is located just a few minutes walk past the tarabita, and consists of trails down to the Nambillo River, where
there are many natural pools. On the hike down there is a swing that swings out over the valley. It’s lots of fun! For the daredevils, they also offer jumping off a cliff into the river, provided of course that you wear a safety helmet, life vest and rope ;-).
Cascadas de Nambillo
Vía a MindoThis is located just a few minutes walk past the tarabita, and consists of trails down to the Nambillo River, where
there are many natural pools. On the hike down there is a swing that swings out over the valley. It’s lots of fun! For the daredevils, they also offer jumping off a cliff into the river, provided of course that you wear a safety helmet, life vest and rope ;-).
The Yellow House hikes are located in
town, just a few blocks from the plaza, and it offers miles of hiking along the skirt of the mountains near town. Guests really enjoy it and feel immersed in the jungle in this hike.

There is a chair lift at a 5-10 minute walk from the property, which takes you up the mountainside, across the valley from us, where the Tarabita and Ziplines are located. It’s a 2 person chairlift that takes about 18 minutes to get to the top. The view and ride are spectacular. Once at the top, you can take a foot trail down the mountain, which takes about 1/2 hour and is recommended only for the sure footed. You can also continue from there to the other activities in the region, walk the road back down the mountain, take a taxi down or take the chairlift back down. The chairlift company, known as MinJoy, also offers a small playground and zip line for children, as well as big, inflatable, hamster type balls, on top of a pond. Children play inside the balls individually (like a hamster inside a ball), floating on top of the pond. It’s an enjoyable activity for kids.

In the night tour, you learn to make hot chocolate from scratch.
Yumbos is located in town, and they offer day tours where you can learn all about the chocolate making process. They explain some of the history of chocolate, as well as take you to various locations throughout their shop where you can see how chocolate is made, from start to finish, and also sample chocolate with a variety of added flavors.
