This is the neighborhood recreational center, tennis courts, soccer field and children's playground but it also has a fantastic hiking experience running behind all these things into a canyon. The park is a 5 minute drive from our house or a 15 minute walk. Once you're in the park it takes 2 minutes to start your walk through the canyon.

24th Street in Noe Valley is a leisurely stroll along 6 blocks of boutique shops. You'll find the local Whole Foods and Starbuck's but mostly it's the independent coffee shops, book store and clothing and jewelry stores that give this street it's neighborhood vibe. Contigo and La Ciccia Restaurants are the best spots for dinner in the area.

The neighborhood is in the midst of gentrification and some of the hottest spots are within a 2 block radius. The Ferry Building and the Farmers Market at the Ferry Building (Tues, Thurs and Saturday) is one of the most quintessential things to do for the locals of SF. The building is a historic landmark from 1896 and once it was renovated in 2003 I think it's one of the most important sights in San Francisco. Waterfront access and killer food.

Sightseeing
Walking along Crissy Field, over the Golden Gate Bridge and grabbing a hot chocolate at The Warming Hut on the way back to your car is one of my favorite pastimes after spending 25 years in San Francisco.
