Saint Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral is the largest cathedral in Armenia. Its construction was finished in 2001 to mark the 1700th anniversary of the proclamation of Christianity as a state religion of Armenia. It is 5 minutes walk from our apartment. Close to the Cathedral is an amusement park for kids and a metro station Zoravar Andranik. Собор Святого Григория Просветителя является самым большим собором в Армении. Его строительство было закончено в 2001 году в ознаменование 1700-летия провозглашения христианства государственной религии Армении. Он находится в 5 минутах ходьбы от нашей квартиры. Недалеко от Cобора находится детей парк развлечений и станция метро Зоравар Андраник.

This is the main square of the capital. Here you can find many Governmental buildings, banks, and the History Museum of Armenia. On two crossing streets - Tigran Mets Street and Amiryan Street, you can find many shops.
The Republic Square is magnificent in the evenings, especially when the Singing Fountains are on.

History Museum of Armenia is situated in the same building as the National Gallery of Armenia. Both are good for spending your day while avoiding sunny or a rainy weather.

12 Abovyan poxocThis is a very nice crafts and souvenir shop situated in an old house. It has a hidden garden - traditional to Armenian private houses, where now you can find a cafe-restaurant. Occasionally in the evenings you can find musicians performing here.
