Noosa and Noosa Headlands is one of my favourite places away from home. The north facing beach is spectacular, as is the national park walk around to Noosa Headlands with you will be mesmerised by the waves crashing into craggy cliffs. Noosa is at the top of the Sunshine Coast - approx 1.5 hours drive from Manly. There are closer beaches to the north starting at Caloundra (1 hour drive). https://www.visitnoosa.com.au/things-to-do

To the south, beyond the Gold Coast, is Bryon Bay (approx 2 hours drive). Bryon Bay is again a spectacular beach, the walk to the lighthouse is fantastic and there are many cafes, bars and alternative food shops in Bryon itself. The surrounding area is full of things to do from walking to the summit of Mount Warning and other bushwalking. I'd recommend stopping at "The Farm" which is just near the turnoff from the freeway - its a beautiful spot with great food - https://thefarm.com.au/

At low tide you can walk to King Island from Wellington Point Island Reserve. This is a great family adventure - my kids loved the idea of going to an island to search for treasure - and a nice romantic walk for couples if the tides work to see the sunset fall behind Brisbane). If walking in the middle of the day, remember to be sun safe.

This leisurely scenic seafront walk or ride of around 10km return packs a lot of variety into its length, from the pristine waters of Oyster Point at the start to the new and old fashioned water park at Wynnum, to the vast marina of yachts that defines Manly. https://www.mustdobrisbane.com/outdoors-walks-cycling-bay/wynnum-manly-walk-or-cycle The Wynnum Mangrove Boardwalk is a bewitching walk-upon-the-sea that meanders for 800m through a small section of the vast area of mangrove forest stretching all the way to the mouth of the Brisbane River via the Fisherman Islands. https://www.mustdobrisbane.com/outdoors-walks-bay/wynnum-mangrove-boardwalk-wynnum
