Only 30min drive away from Sherwood Park. Open all year round.
Use of car necessary to drive there and around park but you are also able to hike when you get there. There are also beaver dams to see and other wildlife and birds to see. There’s a beach where you can take and have your picnic. And a lake to canoe or kayak on. You may also take you bicycles in the park.

Go first thing in the morning. When it’s not busy and even if it’s a little misty it adds to the outdoor creepy Jurassic effect.
We were and so we set off the triggers and scared the heck out of our 3 year old as we weren’t expecting them to move as we approached.

The food is excellent and reasonably priced. If you’re not a really big eater you can order a soup each and share a sandwich I like the one with lobster in it!
There’s also pizza made in the stone oven which is really good too!

People only think oh garden centres in spring and summer but let me tell you this is a magical place in Fall as it leads up to Christmas!They have the Most beautiful array of Christmas trees and ornaments in every colour displayed in 4 separate areas it’s like a Christmas wonderland .
Then to top it off There’s a bistro you can have lunch or coffee or supper with your friends with.
Last year I went after too ! It was amazing! It was - 27 outside but it was like Arizona inside. We were looking at a desert and the heat lamps were on. It was Thursday evening and the evening entertainment was a fellow on a guitar , just wonderful!
