Lake Hollywood! This is how I prefer to call the Hollywood Reservoir. And it is not just me that calls it so. Hundreds of people arrange to run, jog, walk around "Lake Hollywood" every day. Tucked in the Hollywood Hills, the Lake has been formatted with the building of the Mulholland Dam in 1924. William Mulholland was a Master Engineer that has constructed super important water works that helped Los Angeles prosper! Hollywood Reservoir is one of them & used to store water for the needs of the city below. Trees & Bushes have grown up on the surrounding hills and you get that amazing feeling of walking by a lake in the woods! Now only if the water was accessible...! As you move around Lake Hollywood, you will also get great views of the Hollywood sign. I find it way more interesting to get a glimpse of the Hollywood sign from Lake Hollywood, rather than the "classical place". If you enjoy running, jogging, walking Lake Hollywood is a Must Visit place!! The loop around it is about 3.2 miles / 5 km, flat & paved with Asphalt.
