Legoland is brilliant for kids of all ages and there is plenty for kids to do. Teenagers might find the rides a bit tame. If its a hot day then take a swimming costume and the kids can also play in their water park. A tip would be to take a packed lunch. Eateries there are expensive. We used to time it to get to the pirate show 10 minutes early to get a good seat on the benches and eat lunch whilst watching the show.

Thorpe park is great for older kids and teenagers. If it's hot you can even go and sit on the beach there by the lake.

There are a few cafes, ice cream vans en route and you can access Savill gardens (small charge applies). I suggest parking in Virginia water or Virginia Water South car parks. Entrance to the park is free but there is a charge for parking.

Food scene
La Sorrentina is a three minute walk from our house. It's a great little Italian. It looks nothing from the outside but the food is great and the host Adriano will make you feel like family. I suggest sticking to the Pizzas and pasta, it's what they do best.

The food is great and they have a happy hour Monday -Saturday 4-8pm where they do 2 for 1 cocktails. It's walking distance from our house.

It can be expensive in the evening which is fine as the quality warrants the price. A tip is to go at lunch time Monday - Saturday. They have a set menu of two or three courses for £14/16.95. This is a real bargain. Big portions and the same great quality.

The Rajbhoog is a modern Indian restaurant. Walking distance from our house. It has a great reputation. Recently refurbished with a modernised menu, it has been in Sunninghill 25 years.
