This is a fabulous hotel with a really great restaurant attached. It overlooks Farnborough air strip where private planes come in. The inside of the hotel is very modern and designed with aeroplane engineering in mind. The cocktails and food are great, and it's perfect for a date night.

Great pub food in a quirky setting, it has free parking and is just 5 minutes away. You can walk, however you have to use the bridge over a dual carriageway which is a little noisy

This is an authentic Sicilian restaurant, it's a really cute small restaurant with fairy lights and outside seating. They do a great selection of gluten free, vegetarian food as well. There is free parking and is 10 minutes drive from the cottage. You can find the menu online.

We love this Tapas Thai place, we would recommend their lunch tasting menu as it’s more affordable (around £10 for four tasters). They do a great set menu/bento box with lots of thai tastings. It's the same menu in the evening just a little more expensive.

We love this pub as it does great drinks (we like a bitter union in the gin and tonics!) and you can bring your dog! Great for kids, couples and groups. If you're going with your dog, how about a walk up to Farnham castle first?
