Our all time favorite restaurant! This is a special place - a very intimate restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and the BEST food & wine! The menu is eclectic - this is a family owned restaurant - Mark is the chef and offers an eclectic international menu - the menu changes seasonally & depending on Mark's inspiration; Melodie runs the front of the house to perfection - always welcoming & smiling. The wine list is great and the desserts (especially the bread pudding) are not to be missed! You 100% will need a reservation and I suggest making it early or you will sadly miss out. Less than five mins from the house.

Fresh pressed juices are excellent! In the summer time, they have outside dining and space for the kids to run around. This is about 15 minutes away from the house in Peru, VT (past Bromley).
The restaurant at Barrows House has a great bar with modern cocktails and a great beer & wine list. Food is always delish and they offer a fun atmosphere. If you're looking for a hike, Lye Brook Falls is not to be missed - It's about a 1.8 mile hike up to a beautiful waterfall! Be careful as there are some wet/slippery spots. The waterfall is spectacular! The entrance is about 10 mins from the house.

Check out the carvings in the marble - you'll find some fun art. Also, you can easily get into the water or you can challenge yourself & jump from a cliff - some are higher than others. The quarry is about 10 mins from the house.

You'll kayak or tube the meandering and sometimes rushing river (not too rushing though) and you'll even pass under some covered bridges (depending on where you enter the river). Big Big will take care of you. Bring your water shoes! You actually cross over into NY State to get started - the ride is about 45 mins + from the house.
